II Increase of skeletal muscle enzymes; creatine kinase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase |
III Abnormal EMG characteristic of myopathy |
IV Abnormal muscle biopsy |
V Typical cutaneous features (e.g. Gottron’s sign, heliotrope rash with periorbital oedema) |
